Make cheques payable to St. Andrew’s Chalmers Presbyterian Church.
Please attend “The World Day Of Prayer” for 2012 at St. Andrew’s – Chalmers Presbyterian Church on Friday March 2nd at 7:30PM.
The ministerial association of Uxbridge has agreed to support the food bank by each one of the churches taking a month during the year and contributing a specific item to the food bank. Concentrating on a specific item means that high use items are replenished, and simplifies the sorting process. January is St. Andrew’s Chalmers month to contribute. Please bring cans of tomatoes or Pork and Beans for our contribution.

A new Adult class has started called “gospel in life: Grace Changes Everything”.
“gospel in life” is an eight-session course on the gospel and how to live it out in all of life – first in our hearts, then in community and ultimately out into the world.
Join us on Sunday mornings at 9AM in the south meeting room.
Rev. Ted is leading a “Small Group in Spiritual Formation”. We are reflecting on the blessings of Jesus (the Beatitudes) as they apply to our own experience and the whole of the Bible. It’s not too late to join. A few books are still available. There are two group meetings, each Wednesday, at 9:30 mornings and 7:30 evenings. A Facebook group has been setup which anyone can join. It is named “The Way of Blessedness”. Check it out.
For the next few months we will be collecting personal hygiene products to help our inner city mission, Evangel Hall, through the winter. Items such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo, hand sanitizer and any other items for cleanliness would be greatly appreciated. A basket has been placed at the back of the sanctuary for your contributions. Any monetary donations would also help our efforts. Please speak to Blair or Kathy Banks.
North House and the Uxbridge Churches will be providing soup lunches in St. Andrew’s Hall from noon until 2:00PM. Donations given for the soup lunch support North House and the Loaves and Fishes Food Bank. Come out and enjoy a hearty bowl of soup, and be an encouragement and welcoming presence to others from our community who join us for lunch every week.
On June 3, 2012, the Presbytery of Pickering will be hosting the General Assembly of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. Since we are part of this Presbytery, we are actively involved.
