Knit and Knatter

Knit and Knatter began in the fall of 2022 to come together and knit hats, mitts and scarves for clients of the food bank. It was only supposed to be for 7 weeks but the knitters enjoyed their time together on Thursday afternoons so much that they decided to continue to meet until the end of November and then resume in January until the end of March. The winter months have seen us working on shawls and lap blankets for the residents of Reachview. We will resume after the summer and once again knit for food bank clients.

The group meets Thursday afternoons in the parlour at the south end of the church from 1:30 to 3. We enjoy a cup of tea, help each other when we have a problem with our project and also learn new skills, whether knitting or crocheting. Yarn and needles have been donated from a variety of sources. Our group is not only members of the Presbyterian and United churches but also from the community. Everyone is welcome to come and join us and have a good time while living out our new vision statement.  Acting together in faith, we offer care and community to all.
